Are you thoroughly bored of the Crazy Frog, Dog or Dragon? Do your despair of those digitised renditions of the latest chart hit? In short, are you looking for a more innovative tone on your phone?
If the answer is yes then maybe you should check out the offerings from Salmon Reel. Founded by keen fisherman Richard Hewitt, the company specialises in rather more novel tones as typified by its latest offering, which aims to hook customers by replicating the sounds of classic fishing reels.
As well as being stirred by the soothing tones of the Brass Perfect, Silex Major and Zane Gray, keen anglers can also relax with a wallpaper image taken by John Bailey. They’ll also be able to sleep soundly knowing that at least part of their £3-5 ring tone’s cost will be donated North Atlantic Salmon Fund.
Then again if you’re not tickled by fishy tones you could always tackle a different animal instead. The sounds of goats, sheep and trotting horses are available as well as a handful of birds and even the lesser-spotted Norman Wisdom.
