Now here’s a gadget worth having. SanDisk has just announced the V-Mate, which is a little set-top device that sits on top of your telly recording shows onto memory cards, which you can then take out and play using your mobile phone.
It supports just about every memory card format used in handsets today, and can record from terrestrial, cable or satellite TV, as well as your DVD player, video recorder or PVR (e.g. Sky+). The V-Mate’s out in October for $129.99 – which in a just world would mean around £70 over here.
