Still dribbling after last week’s news of 3’s X-Series phones? One of the most intriguing elements was the SlingPlayer Mobile application, which lets you stream your home TV to your phone. However, X-Series isn’t the only way to do this. Before Christmas, Sling Media is launching a Symbian version of SlingPlayer, which will work on a range of smartphones. It uses 3G or wi-fi to stream the TV to your phone, and if you’re not on an unlimited data contract, obviously 3G will be much more expensive than wi-fi. But still, it’s bound to appeal to gadgety types.
