Got a mobile phone with wi-fi inside? If so, you could save a packet on your call costs thanks to a new application called Truphone. It gives you Voice over IP (VoIP) internet calls for low rates, and the company behind it has just signed a deal with wi-fi hotspot provider The Cloud to support Truphone at its 7,500 public hotspots in the UK.
Calls cost as little as 3p per minute using the service, including to overseas numbers (nice). At the moment, you can get Truphone on Nokia’s E60, E61 and E70 handsets, with a version for the N80 on the way. If this includes you, text the word TRU to 07624 000 000 or click on the link below.
