Having taken delivery of a Wii this weekend (sorry), I’ve had a quick look at the Virtual Console, which lets you buy old NES, SNES, Megadrive and N64 games to play using your Wii. But lo and behold, All About Symbian have just reviewed an application called iNES which allows you to do nearly the same thing on your Series 60 phone. It plays old NES and SNES games, and apparently works like a dream. Until Nintendo gets around to licensing proper mobile games (clue: Never), this is the only way you’ll see Mario on your mobile.

Congratulations on getting the Wii, you’re very very lucky indeed.
Just to correct one thing though, iNES doesn’t run SNES games. However, there is a Symbian S60 3rd Edition SNES emulator out there called vSun. You can find out more about these and all other S60 3rd Ed emulators here:
