It appears that all the speculation about a Google ‘G-Phone’ has not been groundless. At a recent forum, Google Spain’s Isabel Aguilera said that the company has been ‘investigating’ a mobile phone, but also pointed out that it is just one of many (18, in fact) devices that Google has stowed away in its labs.
This seems a pretty downbeat (versus Steve Job’s evangelical iPhone show back in January) way for Google to let slip such a major piece of news, and we’re left wondering whether the internet hype machine has over-worked itself over the ‘G-Phone’ – and now quite what Google has up its sleeves.
