…and iPhone may well carry on the trend, if a new survey reported by Apple Insider is anything to go by.
Hot on the heels of Apple announcing that over 100m iPods have been sold (with an amazing 22m of those in the last quarter of 2006), a US survey of 500 high school students has revealed that 85% were aware of the iPhone, and that another 25% would be willing to buy one for $500 (£250).
However, Gene Munster (great name) from survey firm PiperJaffray, says his prediction for 2007 iPhone sales sits around the 660,000 mark, with another 4m in 2008. Although sales of the original iPod (shown here with the iPhone) took around three years to really take-off, the latter obviously benefits from the former’s huge market awareness.
