As mobile phones get more and more like computers and more and more disposable, there is one inevitable consequence; they are going to get stolen more often. With many high end mobiles offering functionality comparable to PDA’s, it stands to reason that they contain all manner of sensitive private information such as bank details, pin numbers, security codes and what have you.
Which means that for some, a stolen mobile is a bigger problem than a simple call to the carrier and a slightly dented insurance record. But not any longer, Handy Safe for Windows Mobile is a, erm…handy little application that stores all your sensitive data in one place. Not only that, but the software also has a function for synching information between your phone and your PC. Chuck in 448-bit data encryption (Blowfish) for securing the lot under a password and the £21.95 price tag doesn’t seem quite so steep.
Still, where do you keep your Handy Safe password safe? In another copy of Handy Safe? But then you need another copy for that password and… I need to stop, this is making me go cross eyed.
