Universal Studios and I-play go to the movies

iPlay.jpgA new deal struck between growing mobile entertainment force, I-play, and Universal Studios means that soon you will be able to download movie clips of some of the more memorable moments from the silver screen to your mobile.

The service is called Movie Minutes and it marks the first time that blockbuster film clips are legally available for download on mobiles. Movie Minutes is being rolled out alongside I-play’s new I-player, a proprietary mobile video application that can stream video clips and has bookmarking and library features to help organize your favorite clip playlists.

The service is not free, but then can you really put a price on having the proof that Kong would win in a fight against a T Rex in your pocket?
