That’s according to a patent unearthed by Mac News Network, after being released by the US Patent and Trademark Office. The Yahoo patent application states that:
‘The present invention relates to a system and method for pushing podcasts to mobile devices, such as cellular phones, from a remote subscription management system.’
While MacNN’s blog piece talks specifically about the interest of this to potential iPhone buyers, as Yahoo’s search engine will be included on Apple’s handset, the patent reads such that it seems likely that Yahoo is working on podcasting services for all mobile users.
