UK students ponder phones of the future

Dundee student awareA group of students from the University of Dundee have created a range of interesting phone concepts as part of their final year presentations. The designs, which include ideas such as Aware, shown right, which hangs around your neck and vibrates when someone you know is near. We’re not quite sure how you send text messages with it, though.

We also quite like Eo Una, which is a cube that you rotate around to different faces. Whichever ‘emotion’ is shown on the top face of the cube is then transmitted to a partner cube (most likely belonging to your lover), so you can know how that person is feeling. It’s a bit luvvie, but also a bit cute.

The group has created a website titled ‘phone not phone’ which pretends to sell the designs as final products. To check out the rest of the concepts, click here.
