At least, that’s what a new survey commissioned by the Guardian appears to show. More than 90% of respondants have used a social networking site, and a third have at least four profiles on different services. Yet 68% say they’re not interested in social networking services on their mobile phones.
Cost of mobile data was cited as one reason by respondents, while others said they prefer using the services on their PCs due to bigger screens, easier navigation and faster speeds.
Yet the likes of MySpace, Bebo and Facebook are all going mobile, indicating that these companies think they can win over their users. And of course, if 68% aren’t interested, that still leaves 32% who might be – which represents millions of teens.

but it’s the same old – who bovvers to answers survey questions? If mobile myspace or Bebo takes off, everyone will use it. Same with mobile Wow. Don’t believe surveys, just create usable mobile services.
Agreed. Another waste of time survey that tells us nothing. Sony Walkman research anyone?
