Just Another Mobile Phone Blog has spotted that Nokia is about to release a PC-based version of its Download! software. Once installed, the PC application will allow you to browse the catalogue of software that’s available to (you guessed it) download for your handset.
Content suppliers including Pocket Picks favourite Handango, plus Jamba, EA Games, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros. and Iguana Mobile will all be offering tantalising goodies via the Download! service. Free downloads from Nokia itself will also be available. To use Download! you have to have your phone connected to your PC as protected content will be streamed straight into the handset. Unprotected software can be saved on your PC for installation at a later date.
Although Download! isn’t out yet, keep an eye on its page over at Nokia’s site as we reckon it’ll be available soon.
