IM+ all-in-one mobile chat adds MySpace and Skype

IM plus

We’ve been meaning to write about IM+ for a while, and a couple of recent updates to the popular mobile chat client have given us a good excuse.

First up is the newly updated Skype-compatible version of IM+ for Symbian S60 3rd Edition and BlackBerry, which costs $25 (£12.50) but that price includes all future updates. In order to make calls over Skype you need to have the PC application running back at home and also have some Skype Out credit on your Skype account (purchased in £5 or £10 bundles).

Second is the new version (4.3) of the standard IM+ application that supports live text chats over MSN, AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, Jabber and Google Talk — and has now added MySpace IM to the list. Chats work both mobile-to-mobile and mobile-to-PC. You can also receive notifications of new messages and friends invites sent to your MySpace account. Not bad for a one-off payment of $30 (£15), right?
