Following some confusion that kicked-off with an Engadget story which mistakenly claimed that Orange was planning to drop the SPV brand, it has now come to light (via Digitimes) that the SPV range is actually set to grow. A number of Far Eastern manufacturers are vying for the chance to join HTC as a supplier to Orange, including [take a deep breath], Asustek Computer, Arima Computer, (Apple supplier) Quanta Computer and Gigabyte Communications of Taiwan, plus ZTE, Techfaith Wireless and Huawei Technologies of China.
Additionally, it’s thought that Orange is already taking deliveries of a new SPV C200 from China’s Amoi Technologies. No details are know about the C200, but with ’200′ being the lowest number applied to any of the SPV phones we’re guessing it could be a new entry-level addition to the range.
