We featured the Mobiola Web Camera software a while back, the miracle piece of software that allows you to do away with your webcam in favour of using the camera on your mobile phone. The magic happens over Bluetooth, with your phone transmitting pictures wirelessly to your PC. Well, one of the best common sense applications that we have ever heard of just got better with the release of Mobiola Web Camera 2.
The major improvements to the new version are the the addition of USB connectivity, if your phone has the right cable, and a screen capture facility. There is one slight drawback — in order to enjoy the delights of the update you’ll need to fork out nearly twice as much cash. Mobiola Web Camera costs ₤7.95 (about $16), whereas the update is a whopping ₤12.49 ($25). Oh, and Windows Vista isn’t supported yet.
Still, if you don’t have Bluetooth but do have USB then this is a worthwhile upgrade to an already fantastic application; here’s to common sense.
