We covered the fantastic VoIP app for mobiles, Fring, a while back when we got wind of CrunchGear writer Peter Ha’s road test of it on a Nokia N80 phone. Based on that handset, it seems that Fring is already compatible with Symbian OS 9.1 but according to a very short reveal posted recently on CrunchGear, Fring is about to announce a version compatible with Window’s mobile devices.
We can’t say for sure whether or not this is true yet but it certainly seems likely. Makes sense considering how many handsets run the Windows Mobile OS these days. Hopefully not too many carriers will block the use of the program.
