Opera Mini 4 Beta out now!

Opera 4 Beta 1Norway’s Opera has just announced the release of the public Beta version of its popular mobile web browser, Mini. By compressing web pages before they’re delivered to your phone, the Opera browser is able to offer faster, less-expensive mobile browsing than the standard browser that ships with your handset.

One of the big new features in Mini 4 is the ability to zoom-in on pages, an idea borrowed from the Nintendo Wii version of the browser. Opera describes this as, ‘When zooming, Opera Mini dives into the page and then snaps to the content so scrolling is smooth while accessing the desired content immediately.’
