PhoneGate helps you snub people on your mobile

Unwanted callers can be a real nuisance and although with a mobile you have the advantage of being able to decide whether to pick up the phone based on who is calling, persistent types can still be irritating and even unnerving for some.

For popular people fed up with dealing with pesky callers, Maxicon’s new PhoneGate software may prove very useful. Dividing your phonebook into VIP, Unwanted and all other numbers the software blocks the calls you don’t want with a busy tone and allows the privileged few to get through.

The software, which is compatible with Pocket PC Windows Mobile 5.0 and Smartphone Windows Mobile 5.0, works in all countries and recognizes different formats in which numbers can be recorded. Not bad for €6.60 (about £4 odd), now all you need to do is decide which of your friends warrant VIP status.
