The iPhone already has Meebo and Trillian Astra offering IM services but the newest of the new kids on the block is JiveTalk from BeeJive. Not only does the service support AIM, but MSN, Yahoo, GoogleTalk, ICQ, and Jabber all get in on the action too and according to initial reports it is all quite smooth and speedy to boot.
JiveTalk is still in the alpha stage but with such a wealth of support it already looks like it could trounce the competition by the time the finished service is rolled out. Is there is a web 2.0 widget war brewing on Apple’s new toy?
