Another new mobile VoIP service has just cropped up. Challenger mobile is a VoIP service specific to Nokia Eseries phones as well as the Nokia N80ie and the N95.
The features seem like standard fare with mobile to mobile calls between Challenger users costing nothing. Landline calls or calls to non Challenger mobiles are at a typically low rate (2.7 cents per min). One of the more stand out features is that VoIP calls can be forwarded to your regular mobile number when you are within range of a wi-fi access point.
In spite of its limited pool of supported handsets, Challenger mobile sounds like a nice little app to us. As always, before you download and start using this, check your operator’s stance on mobile VoIP apps and be sure that you have an unlimited data package as part of your monthly subscription.
