We previewed NTT’s gimmick-heavy P904i a while ago. The Panasonic-built handset was released here in Japan last month and, with its sleek looks and the support of some impressive marketing, it’s been doing the business. Phones — or keitai, as they are referred to in these parts — are status symbols in Japanese life, which necessitates that phone providers market them as such. We’re not sure about the use of “Dramatic Beauty” as a slogan for the P904i, but hey — it’s pretty. Have a look at this ad, which is airing on Japanese TV at the moment:
