When Samsung announced the E848 as the mobile face of the Olympics in June we were less than enthused being that it appears to be little more than a barely reworked E840. It seems that the E848 is not the only device that Samsung has lined up for the event as it has just announced a fancy new version of its P310, or the ‘credit card phone’ as it is often known.
The P310+ will be carried by China Mobile (according to the logo on the back of the device) and will be exactly the same as the original in all aspects but one; this little miniature will be hewn from gold. Gone is the chrome and in its place is some rather fetching brushed 18 karat gold. Probably going to be heavy on the pocket as well as the wallet then but at least it looks nicer than the E848.
