Pocket comedy? Well, the lining in my Chinos broke once, and all my loose change spilled onto the floor. Some people laughed. What’s that? Oh, you mean pocket comedy as in made-for-mobile TV channels featuring stand-up clips, cartoons and viral silliness?
Well, as it happens, T-Mobile has just launched one, called logically enough Pocket Comedy TV. Produced by mobile video firm Mobix, it features the likes of Ricky Gervais, Lee Evans and Jack Dee, as well as clips from Father Ted and The League of Gentlemen.
Pocket Comedy TV is part of T-Mobile’s current mobile TV trial. It’s good to see exclusive mobile channels getting a look-in among the simulcasts of ‘proper’ TV channels, although it’d be even nicer if it was more than just a collection of old clips.
