Golf fans: don’t take your mobile to The Open this year

golfers.jpgHELLO! I’M ON THE 18TH GREEN! THE 18TH GREEN! OH DEAR, SOMEONE’S JUST MISSED THEIR PUTT AND IS LOOKING ANGRILY AT ME!

Yes, there are many reasons why braying idiots with mobile phones should be banned from golf courses, and the organisers of The Open tournament are well aware of them.

So, for this year’s event, they (the phones, sadly the idiots can still get in) have been banned. Completely. Spectators will have to check them in at the gates, and collect them before leaving. It should ensure the golfers aren’t put off their shots anyway. Now, if someone could just do something about ugly trousers…
