You might not know what AdSense is, but you’ll have seen it in action. It’s Google’s contextual advertising technology, which lets website owners make money through adverts on their site, which Google ensures relate to that site’s content. Many bloggers make good money from it.
Anyway, the point is it’s going mobile. Google has been sending out invitations to try AdSense for mobile, which is in beta. Here’s what they say: “AdSense for mobile allows publishers to monetize their mobile websites through the placement of targeted text ads. Publishers can take advantage of the fast-growing mobile advertising market and benefit from our targeting technology.”
Interesting stuff, which could spur renewed interest in the mobile internet from web people, now there’s an easier way to make money from it via advertising.
