
That’s according to the European Commission’s league table of Euro mobile operators, which tracks the rates, availability of the roaming tariffs on offer, and whether companies have responded to the Commission’s inquiries. 3’s Euro roaming rates, which were announced at the tail-end of July, are 25p for making calls and 10p for receiving them — although be aware that they won’t go live until the end of August unless you specifically request them.
Virgin Mobile is among the minority of operators across Europe that have failed to respond to the Commission, and judging by its current webpage it isn’t in a hurry to either. Rates on offer are currently 95p for making calls and 60p for receiving them. Go on, chaps, rake it in while you can!
