Being not the greatest at remembering to buy milk, never mind to pray five times at day, we can imagine that the Al-Moazen 2 prayer alarm could the kind of S60 app we would need to invest in, were we Muslim. The $18 (£9) app allows multiple alarms to be set throughout the day, with a choice of alarm tones, and if you tell it where you live there’s apparently a compass to show you which direction in which to pray. We’re not quite sure how it works that out, but still it sounds handy. Check out the Arabic & English app on Handango.
Also available on Handango for a slightly pricey-sounding $33 (£16.50) is MobiQuraan 2, which is, as you’d expect, a mobile version of the holy book. However, features include a translation tool, audio readings, a search tool, plus an ‘explanation’ tool, although it’s not clear exactly what that does. Anyway, for S60 3rd Edition-owning Muslims, we think both of these could be useful downloads.
