Now before any of you go and get all squeamish on us, that there is an anatomical diagram of an ear, ok. Now to business; Samsung has filed a patent for a phone capable of tracking when women are at their most fertile time of the month (yes we are serious and yes this is releasing in Japan).
The device works by measuring the distance to the eardrum (via hi-tech sensors) to get a specific temperature reading that corresponds with a woman’s basal body temperature cycle, which is also clocked to her menstrual cycle.
So we have phones that tell you what to eat, phones that smell, phones that are security cameras and now phones that tell you when you should try to get pregnant. They are not called convergence devices for nothing you know.
