According to Taiwan’s Digitimes, Palm is set to release a new Linux-based smartphone in October. The new handset will be based on Wind River’s Linux-based mobile platform, as was the much-derided — and now delayed — Foleo smartphone companion. Let’s hope that the new device is a little more exciting than its counter-revolutionary stablemate. However, Digitimes’ source says that the new Palm will have close interoperability with the Foleo (as you’d expect/ hope), thanks to both being based on the same tech.
