That there be the new Nokia Eseries, the E51. Lurking beneath its uninspiring exterior (hey, it’s for business, it has to look ‘serious’), the E51 sports some fairly punchy specs: 11g wi-fi, 3.6Mbit HSDPA 3G, QVGA screen, 2MP camera, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, GSM 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900 and WCDMA 850/ 2100 support, 130MB memory and up to 4GB on a microSD card, plus a micro USB socket for synch and charging. See? Serious.
But this being a business phone, it’s the software features that will really matter. The E51 supports a variety of email systems, including Microsoft ActiveSync and Mail for Exchange, Visto Mobile, and Seven Always-on. There’s also VoIP calling out of the box with Gizmo, conference calling features, a call recorder, a customisable home screen, and Quickoffice on-board. Pretty well loaded for an estimated off-contract price of €350/ £240.
