Picking up the design path walked by Nokia’s N95, the new Samsung SGH-i450 dual slider has more than a couple of tricks up its sleeve. Most notably there’s the ‘Touch Wheel Music Navigation’ system, which is that rotary dial on the left of the shot above. That Touch Wheel allows you to scroll through lists of menu options and music tracks; we particularly like the way the circle is carried onto the i450’s screen.
Other specs for the 101 x 52 x 17.8mm handset include 3.6Mbit HSDPA high-speed data, support for 4GB microSD cards (which should fit about 1000 music tracks), and playback of MP3, AAC and AAC+ music and 3GP, WMV, MP4 and RealOne video. The two-megapixel camera comes with a flash lamp, and the display is QVGA (240 x 320 pixels), and the OS is the ever-friendly S60 3rd Edition. On-board memory is only 40MB, however.
Off-contract price is expected to be around the €360 (£250) mark when the i450 hits Europe this year. And yep, there are more pics after the jump.

The press release says something about ‘metallic speakers supporting ICEpower amplifier developed by Bang & Olufsen’, but maybe that’s referring to the headphones (?). Anyway, you get a 3.5mm headphone socket to use whatever, although we can’t see where it is on these official pics. Also on the music front, the i450 supports Bluetooth A2DP for stereo headsets, and has USB 2.0 for swift sideloading of your tracks.
