Nokia has officially unveiled its N810 Internet Tablet, the replacement for the pretty but flawed N800 Internet Tablet.
The biggest difference in terms of form is that the N810 has a slide out QWERTY keyboard and the face has been given a classy brushed steel makeover replacing the slightly plasticky look of the N800.
The device retains its touch-screen and now has a better built-in VGA camera (which is now located on the face of the device, for video calling).
The innards have been given a boost too with browser support from Mozilla and up to 2GB internal memory (with support for up to 8GB via a separate memory card). Both Ajax and Flash 9 compatibility make their expected return meaning that watching YouTube videos or using Web 2.0 sites such as FaceBook should be a cinch.
As we mentioned before, the N810 is also packing GPS which will come in very handy. But what’s the catch we hear you cry? The catch is that there is still no 3G nestling inside, GRRRRRR.
Still, from what we can see the N810 is a reasonable improvement over the N800, just maybe not quite the leap we were hoping for.
