One click visual searching with Thrrum Visual Browser for Nokia handsets

capture_25102007_105036.jpgA camera phones specialist called 23half Inc. has launched some pretty startlingly advanced software called Thrrum Visual Browser for Nokia camera phones that have internet browsers. The software lets you search for information online by simply pointing your camera phone at a product or other object of interest in your actual physical environment.

This one click approach to searching certainly sounds intuitive and the scope for integrating place and location searches into the mix by photographing landmarks is considerable. It also sounds pretty handy for on the spot comparison shopping between high street and online retailers.

We are more than a little blown away by this idea; Arthur C. Clarke once said “Any sufficiently advanced form of technology is indistinguishable from magic.” and as far as Thrrum Visual Browser is concerned, we are entirely inclined to agree. The software is available now and costs $5.99.
