Samsung’s new GPS-enabled Windows Mobile smartphone – the i780 – has officially been unveiled in the UK this week.
It’s a super-slim messaging device with a full QWERTY keyboard for use on Windows Mobile.
The huge 2.5-inch touchscreen also features an optical joystick, allowing for 360-degree navigation on menus, applications and the internet. There’s also a two-megapixel camera with another video calling camera, Bluetooth, MiniUSB and microSD slots.
Of course, such a smartphone will be able to connect to the internet with the fast-becoming-ubiquitous HSDPA and wifi, and A-GPS location services.
Although Samsung had a press conference to unveil the i780, it doesn’t have a price or shipping date yet, but seeing as it’s on Samsung’s 2007 roadmap, expect it to hit stores before Christmas.
