iPhone 3G QueueWatch: 16GB stocks low, but upgrades allowed

Our resident iPhone guru Stuart Dredge is currently deep in the belly of a long queue of eager iPhone 3G punters, and through the miracle of technology he has sent us this report from the frontline:

I’m about 15th in the queue at Bishop’s Stortford O2 Store. 16GB
models have already run out – they’re moving down the queue taking
orders – but they seem to have plenty of 8GB ones.

You CAN upgrade from the old iPhone in-store though, so that’s okay.
People walking past on their way to work are giving pitying glances,
and one woman even stopped to say “Oh you SAD lot…”

I do feel a little bit ashamed of myself, yes.

So from that we can gather that there is every indication that Pocket Picks will have its very own iPhone 3G to paw, poke and prod before the day is out. We have a feeling the public shame of being exposed as such a tech fanatic will be worth it in the end. We’ll be able to confirm that soon enough – look out for our review in the next couple of hours.
