Navi2Go mobile navigation software hits BlackBerry smartphones

navi2go-blackberry.jpg3DVU has announced that its Navi2Go navigation app is now available for BlackBerry devices, moving beyond its existing base of WinMo and Symbian handsets. It comes in two versions, one for the US and one for the UK, with other European country editions to follow this summer. It’ll be sold as a subscription, which in the US will cost $39 for three months, $69 for six months and $120 for a year. Like the existing versions, it’ll offer a blend of satellite navigation with photorealistic visuals. Features include turn-by-turn directions, flythrough trip previews, voice instructions, and more points of interest than you can shake a stick at. There’s stiff competition – my BlackBerry came with a Vodafone-branded satnav service preloaded for example – but more choice is always a good thing.
