You have all probably heard of Nokia Beta Labs, the revolving door development initiative that churns out useful Nokia application betas with a prolificness that would make most other services of the same type gurn like mad with envy.
Well, apparently Nokia has its sights set on expanding this idea to include hardware and non-native services. Dubbed Nokia Pilots, the service will allow Joe and Jane public to gain access to prototypes and work in progress services way in advance of their official release. The idea is that consumers will have the opportunity to play a key part in the testing process of ‘bleeding edge’ technology.
Sounds like it could be worth checking out, especially if it means you can get you hands on one of those fabled Nokia Tube touchscreen handsets before anyone else. Nokia Pilots will launch in September and you can make sure you are ready to step on board come the big day by bookmarking this link.
