Congratulations to Facebook, which has announced that its iPhone application has been downloaded by more than a million users since launching on the App Store a couple of weeks ago. It’s a decent start, and with the application being free, there’s no reason why Facebook-using iPhone owners wouldn’t at least give it a try. The company has also announced plans to open-source the app, allowing other developers to make their own spin-off iPhone apps that tie into Facebook. From using it myself, it’s very slick – definitely more so since version 1.1 emerged with a bunch of new features.
