2008 Olympics in Beijing get Fringed

fring-olympics.jpgFring is getting into the spirit of the Olympic Games in Beijing, by launching some add-ons for its mobile application to bring news and info on the games. How? With real-time text and image updates from the company’s six-person Olympic team – or ‘fringentators’ as it’s calling them. The add-on is free, and works within the Fring application itself in a widgety stylee.  The correspondents include Russian trampoline star Alexander Rusakov and his team coach Oleg Zaporozhchenko Jr., Malaysian volunteers Fei Wen and Tania Teoh, Israeli sports fan Udi Moshel and Spanish sports fan Agus Jose. There’ll be no shortage of competition for getting Olympics news onto your phone, but the personal touch of having these correspondents supplying it is a cool one.
