Booker Prize nominees available via SMS

phoneexamplecropped.JPG..well, excerpts of them, anyway.  When the Man Booker Prize shortlist is announced next month, interested readers will be able to text an SMS shortcode to the organisers and receivea short excerpt of each of the books via SMS.

If you read an excerpt and have your interest sufficiently piqued, a further SMS will get you either a paper copy of the book sent to your home address or an audiobook (where available) downloaded straight to your mobile.

The price of your purchase will be added to your mobile bill.

The audiobook service uses  GoSpoken.com and will requiredownloading via you usual data plan – stand byfor some hefty charges unless you have an all-you-can-eat package.
