We’ve all done it. Got hog-whimperingly drunk on a night out, then fallen asleep on the train home, waking up in some remote station at the end of the line to the sight of angry rail staff, and taxi drivers rubbing their hands with glee. Haven’t we?Wake Me At is a new iPhone application that promises to save you from that fate. It’s a simple yet genius idea: you tell it where you’re going, and then the app wakes you up before you get there, based on its database of 2,600 UK train stations, and (presumably) the iPhone’s GPS function. It’s just gone on sale on the App Store for £2.99. A luxury? Perhaps, but if it saves you from a £60 cab fare, that’ll be money well spent. You can buy it by clicking here.
