Babies are wonderful, we should make that clear. But they’re a lot of work. Given that you spend most of the early months wandering round in a sleep-deprived haze, it can be tough to keep track of the important details of bowel movements, feeds, sleeps and bathtimes. For the baby, I mean.A new iPhone app called Baby Log aims to help. You simply tap buttons on the screen to tell it when you’ve changed a nappy, given your baby a feed, put them down for a sleep or given them a bath. It then keeps track and serves up reassuring statistics like how much they’re feeding and how many hours they sleep during a day.All this can then be exported to CSV files for use in Excel and other spreadsheet apps, for really hands-on parents. Plus, there’s even an accelerometer-powered twins mode, where you shake your iPhone to switch between babies. It could do with a ‘Great Big Poo Catastrophe!’ button, I reckon, but other than that it’s good value for £2.99.App Store Link: Baby Log
