Nokia’s Comes With Music service has been in the works for a while now, and it looks as though us Brits that will be the first to sample the fruits of Nokia’s hard labour.
In case Come With Music sounds like just another in a long line of empty mobile music related sound-bites to you, you should probably know that Comes With Music is a service that gives users one year of unlimited access to the Nokia Music Store, with the ability to keep all of the downloaded tracks even after the year is over. Interested now?
The Carphone Warehouse has snagged (initial) exclusivity to the UK pre-pay channel and will be the only place to get hold of the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic ‘Comes With Music’ edition until December 31st. That said, Nokia’s press release doesn’t make clear when the handset/service will be made available, though apparently Nokia will be holding a specific Comes With Music event on October 2nd.
Stick that in your iTunes and suck it Apple (come on, let’s have a flame war).
