Lay down your iPhones, turn your N95 8GBs to ploughshares. It’s time to get dumb.
That is the challenge laid down by Nokia Conversations blogger Charlie Schick. The Nokia community bloggers were intrigued by the fact that there are almost two and a half billion ‘dumb’ Nokia phones in circulation. They want to see if it is possible to go from a smartphone to using Nokia leading no-frills handset, the Nokia 1100, for a month – while maintaining some form of sanity.
If you want to take part, head over to the Conversations site and let them know in the comments. Let us know too – we are all about the ‘coolest’ phones, but there is something to be said for an understated talk’n'text candybar like the 1100. It is unlikely to get pinched, if nothing else.
