Griffin’s iTalk turns your iPhone into a dictaphone

Griffin Technology has launched an iPhone app called iTalk, which turns your iPhone or iPod Touch into a fully-fledged sound recorder.

It’s got one-touch controls to record, pause and resume, and records using your device’s microphone, saving recordings as AIFF files. You can transfer them from your iPhone to your PC or Mac by installing a separate desktop application on your computer called iTalk Sync.

You can choose between three sample-rates to vary the file-size, and you can use a plug-in headset or Griffin’s own TuneBuds Mobile and SmartTalk mic/control products. The app is free – although only for “a limited time”.
