Much as we hate to use the endlessly repeated adage, ‘when it rains it pours’, in Nokia’s case at the moment, there’s no better phrase available in the English language (at least not to our word weary noggins).
After a spell of almost complete silence, Nokia Beta Labs has all of a sudden had four application updates added to it. The first is Share Online 4.0. Nokia’s catch all social sharing application.
There’s also Nokia Friend Viewer, which in true Nokia Beta Labs style, does exactly what the title suggests. Just to be clear however, Nokia Friend Viewer is a location and micro-blogging service that lets you broadcast your location to all of your close friends as well as communicate with them for some impromptu meet ups.
Next up is the Nokia Map Loader for Mac which allows you to easily side load maps to your handset from your Mac. Then there’s Nokia Communication Centre 2.0 which pulls the rather clever trick of letting you access all of your mobile’s contacts, messages and calendar events directly from your PC.
Not a bad haul if you ask us. As ever all of the applications on the Nokia Beta Labs site are free to try so if any of these sound like they would make your life easier, you know what to do.
