The iCEphone – is this cool? IS IT?

Wow. What’s better than a landscaped clamshell phone with full keyboard? How about a double-hinged landscaped phone with TWO keyboards!

The iCEphone is such a beast. Running Windows Mobile 6 and featuring a touch screen (for ‘normal’ candybar use, the phone unfolds to reveal a full QWERTY keypad plus a second ‘leaf’ containing extra keys like CAPS LOCK, CTRL and ALT.

The phone seems to be aimed a medical professionals – it is an acronym for “In Case of Emergency Phone.” – but there is a ‘military version’ that clips on to a Space Ghost-style wrist mount as well. The manufacturers do show it running a car racing game as well, though. It’s not all work work work.

Spec-wise, it is a fairly standard 3G WinMo phone with 3.1 megapixel camera, wifi, etc. Released next year, it should come in at about £1000.
