Apple has been fairly hands-off so far when it comes to people hacking the iPhone. Jailbreaking may violate all kinds of terms of service but it has mostly been a case of no-harm, no-foul. If anything, you cold argue that Jailbreaking has helped Apple – they have sold a few extra iPhone that otherwise would have been neglected for a more open platform.
Crackulous, though.. Crackulous may be the one that gets Apple really annoyed. What this little gem does is simply strip away any copy protection from an app downloaded via the App Store.
Pirated iPhone Apps are nothing new, but if this works the way the makers describe it could be about to get a lot easier. How long before Apple calls in the lawyers, do you think?
