Orange France has seen some trouble times lately, what with the French courts blocking its exclusivity contract with Apple on the iPhone. Now it seems the mobile giant has adopted a different tack, since future exclusivity deals will presumably go the same way.
It’s apparently decided to give Google’s Android platform a fair lick of the cat by agreeing to carry no less than six different handsets. These Android-powered devices will come from Sony Ericsson, Motorola, LG and Samsung alongside the HTC Magic and Hero handsets already on its shelves.
Hopefully this will be a trend it rolls out in other territories, though no details have been released as to when these handsets will be likely to launch.
